Question for the Masters

Post by marshman »

So, I picked up a huge lot of tubes and other assorted electronic bits not too long ago. Not a lot of useful items, but always interesting to look through. Among the items I found a most interesting little doodad. It's wafer, about the 1 inch in diameter. It looks like it's made of some sort of waferboard, like an old clipboard. Out one side, a 9-pin tube 'base', like the bottom of a 12AX7. On the other side of the 'coin', the leads converge into a very small metal 'cap', definitely smaller than the ring created by the pins on the other side. Printed on the cap is what looks like:

ECC705A
7041

Any thoughts?

(I managed to get 1 half decent picture of the thing, but I can't figger out how to attach it...I'm kinda dense that way([/img]

Sound's like maybe a bread board of some sort, but with out seeing it thats a wild guess !
If you'll take your photo to photobucket.com and upload it there for free, you can copy the code at the bottom of the pic, and paste it here inside the box, that's one way of doing it !
